Victims of violent crime can suffer from Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event----- either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flachbacks, nightmares, and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. June is PTSD Awareness Month
Victims of violent crime can suffer from Depression after a crime has been committed against them. May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
